LAKE CRESCENT ELOPEMENT | JASON & MARISOL
Some people know right away what they want their wedding day to be like and work tirelessly for months, even years, to bring their vision to reality. Jason & Marisol thought they wanted a big wedding and initially started to plan one, but then became encumbered by the process and the fact that it was taking away from the whole point of it all. They decided to ditch the big party plans and jet away from their home in Arizona on up to the gorgeous, incomparable Olympic National Park for intimate nuptials in the mountains, just the two of them. A beautiful location and a beautiful love story is all they wanted and the shores of romantic Lake Crescent proved the perfect spot for this destination elopement.
They say the rain is good luck for a wedding. Good thing because we got a bunch of it! These two didn’t even notice it was happening, so yeah, I wouldn’t say it dampened their spirits in any way. The rain came down as Jason took Marisol by the hand and led her under an umbrella to the shoreline, where they would become husband and wife. A family friend officiated the ceremony and I clicked away, as inconspicuously as possible.
After vows, rings, and first kisses were exchanged, the newlyweds strolled along the beach and looked out across the magnificent lake at the clouds rolling over the hills. Even on dreary days, there is so much beauty to behold in this part of the world. There is a reason why it is so lush and green after all.
Jason & Marisol signed their marriage license inside the iconic Lake Crescent Lodge and enjoyed a toast of champagne before more portraits on the dock. We then headed over to the Storm King Ranger Station for a few more photos to round out an amazing afternoon.
I feel so honored to be a part of this elopement at this beautiful location with two amazing people who trusted my vision, even on a rainy day. I adore the photos that we created together and wish the happy couple a life full of love and adventure together.
