MAPLEHURST FARM WEDDING | CHELSEY & DALLAS
I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely early summer wedding at Maplehurst Farm in Mount Vernon this season and it was nothing short of an absolutely perfect day. The weather was absolutely glorious, sunny and warm without being scorching hot and no wind. That is pretty good luck for June in Washington if you ask me!
This was my first Maplehurst Farm wedding and I can genuinely say that I am obsessed with this venue. It comes equipped with a lovely bridal suite, a separate cottage for the groom, a gorgeous backdrop of the Mount Baker and the Cascade mountains flanked by huge crop fields, a TREE TUNNEL(!), a gorgeous open barn for the reception, a stunning mansion with a wrap-around porch, as well as stunning foliage surrounding the property. All of these things come together to make the most perfect venue in Mount Vernon that I highly recommend to future brides & grooms.
Chelsey got ready with her closest friends and family members in the bridal suite, while Dallas got spruced up in the adorable groomsmen cottage near the back of the property, a perfect distance away from each other to ensure that the bride and groom did not see each other prior to the ceremony. These two did not want to do a first look, but they did want to exchange letters before they got married, so we found the perfect spot on the porch of the mansion for them to do so without any surprises being ruined. It was a very romantic moment that these two lovebirds got to share with one another before committing their lives to each other.
On to the main event! Chelsey & Dallas shared their vows and a romantic first kiss under the tree tunnel and continued on to their reception in the open barn at the venue. Lights were strung from the ceiling of the venue, creating a very romantic feel for the reception. After taking a few portraits and listening to a few toasts as well as a speech from the bride and groom, we jetted off to a second location for some gorgeous sunset portraits as daylight came to a close on this gorgeous day in June.
