LAIRMONT MANOR WEDDING | JOSHUA & BETHANY
I really think September is the best month for a wedding in Washington. I may be partial to this month because I also got married in September, but it really is the best month. Not too hot, not too cold, days are still long enough, the rain hasn’t started, and so on and so forth. Bethany and Joshua knew this as well about September and chose a beautiful sunny Sunday at the beginning of the month to plan their nuptials.
This loving couple chose the elegant Lairmont Manor in Bellingham for their romantic wedding and reception. It is a historic landmark estate located not far from the Fairhaven district of Bellingham. This was especially fun for me as I spent five years living in Bellingham, several of which were very close to this venue so it was a nostalgic experience for me. I absolutely love the area and being back in that particular neighborhood really brought back a lot of memories from a different time in my life.
This particular day was absolute perfection. Beth and her best girls got dolled up in the basement, hidden away from the boys’ prying eyes. Josh and his men hung out and got dressed in a room upstairs as they anxiously awaited the grand entrance from the women. The couple shared their first look out on the back lawn with the majestic Manor in the background. The sun was shining and it was comfortably warm. The wedding party snacked on pizza in between photos and the ceremony starting. Everyone was in a great mood as the day progressed, and were especially excited for the couple as the lovely outside ceremony began.
After the Benders said their vows, they greeted their guests through a receiving line, giving each special person a moment of their attention and gratitude before entering the reception under romantically lit tents. The newlyweds ate and drank with their friends and family and enjoyed a few lighthearted, and a few more emotional, toasts. Then everyone headed back inside the manor for some lively dancing. I had the best view from atop the dance floor, so this part was super fun for me to watch everyone dancing their asses off and having a blast.
Cheers to the Benders and their Lairmont Manor wedding in beautiful Bellingham! 🙂
