SEATTLE GOLF COURSE WEDDING | PAIGE & NICK

“Because it is the nature of love to create, a marriage itself is something which has to be created, so that, together we become a new creature. To marry is the biggest risk in human relations that a person can take… If we commit ourselves to one person for life this is not, as many people think, a rejection of freedom; rather it demands the courage to move into all the risks of freedom, and the risk of love which is permanent; into that love which is not possession, but participation… It takes a lifetime to learn another person… When love is not possession, but participation, then it is part of that co-creation which is our human calling, and which implies such risk that it is often rejected.” –Madeleine L’Engle

September is a glorious month to be married in Seattle. Paige and Nick were aware of this when they planned their Seattle golf course wedding on a lovely weekend day in September. The forecast for this particular weekend had us all on our toes in the days beforehand, but low and behold, the skies parted for the celebration and not a drop of rain was felt. The night was even capped off by a glorious sunset behind some moody, dramatic clouds.

All of the colorful yet rustic details that Paige & Nick chose for their wedding fit in perfectly at their venue, the Nile Shrine Golf Center, located just north of the city of Seattle. This particular venue had a ton of variety in locations, including an iconic tree tunnel as well as a lake and rolling hills throughout the course. One of my favorite details of this wedding to photographer were the bride and groom’s awesomely unique wedding rings. I’ve never seen rings like these before…Paige’s was vintage inspired and Nick’s had a wood grain engraving. They were so cool, take a look below!

My other favorite part of Paige and Nick’s wedding was that they included their fur-child Phoebe, a pug, in the celebrations. She was a part of the ceremony as well as the portraits with Paige, Nick and their wedding party and I think it’s safe to say that she definitely added a little something extra to the photos. I just love to see clients make their wedding days unique to them. which is how it should be if you ask me.

Enjoy more photos from this amazing Seattle golf course wedding below, cheers!
